Color IQ scans the surface of your skin via a handheld device and then assigns you a Color IQ number using AI to find your scientifically precise foundation match from over 1,500 options.
CHALLENGE
Direct customers to shop Sephora’s extensive product collection, which can be narrowed down based on coverage and formula preferences.
• The average woman buys the wrong color foundation seven times before she finds the right shade.
• Product education plays a major role in Sephora’s digital initiatives. 80% of Sephora shoppers said that learning more about beauty is a top priority.
GOAL
Engagement with the Color IQ service will make Sephora’s Beauty Insider loyalty program more valuable to consumers who are looking for a personalized, simplified shopping experience.
• Generating loyalty is about generating relevance and experience with consumers.
MY ROLE
Create and design all the digital shopping experiences that interact with Color IQ across in-store, web, tablet, and app to be scaleable and simplified.
